As a Resolutions and Receivership Specialist with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Thamis worked inside failed banks, taking control of their real estate and loans and deciding what each asset was worth, what it needed and how to sell it. That is asset management at its most practical: no emotion, a hard deadline, and a duty to get the most for the people who are owed.
